I know it's your first game and i get that the game was designed intentionally to be hard but it's way too hard and missing a few features other platformers have and has a few bugs: when you're up agaist a wall even if you're on the ground and want to do a normal jump the game executes a walljump instead, you shouold make walljumps only possible midair. The game also has no input buffering, which is the ability to still do an action even though the player inputted that action a bit too early, for example pressing jump a few frames before hitting a platform and still jumping after touching the platform. The spikes have hitboxes that are way bigger than the spike itself, the white ropes you can climb on are invisible against the background since the tiles are white, and the spikes that pop out of the ground have no indication on where the spikes are
The game is interestingly challenging though I have met with a roadblock.
On level four after the saw the final hurdle with the spikes does seem to be too much. After managing to get to the position between the spikes I am unable to progress. The spikes above the wall do end up killing the player upon them contacting the wall, as they seem to be a pixel or two wider than they should. And due to the spike below it I can't manage to delay touching the wall without contacting the spike due to deceleration during the jump.
I would recommend either decreasing the horizontal size of the spikes by a small amount or allowing the player to change their jump height depending on how long they press the jump button. Either way, this is fairly promising for a first game.
I am having issues entering the "doors" no button combination seems to work.
Edit: Found it out, WASD doesn't apply to entering the door while the arrow keys do.
